Dr. Séverine Iborra ist Chefärztin der Abteilung für Gynäkologie und Geburtshilfe am Städtischen Klinikum Solingen. Ihr Verantwortungsbereich umfasst die Geburtshilfe, den Kreißsaal, die Neugeborenenstation und die Gynäkologie. Zur Abteilung gehört auch die Senologie/Brustsprechstunde im Bergischen Brustzentrum Solingen, die von Dr. Manuela Seifert geleitet wird.

Dr. Séverine Iborra stammt ursprünglich aus Frankreich. Sie begann ihr Medizinstudium an der Universität Lyon und wechselte später an die Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg, wo sie 2007 ihre Approbation erhielt. Sie promovierte 2008 für experimentelle Forschung in der molekularen Onkologie. Von August 2008 bis November 2013 arbeitete Dr. Iborra als Assistenzärztin an der Universitätsfrauenklinik Freiburg. Nach Ablegen ihrer Facharztprüfungen in Gynäkologie und Geburtshilfe setzte sie ihre Karriere als Fachärztin an derselben Klinik fort. Im November 2015 wechselte sie als Oberärztin an die RWTH Aachen.

In der Klinik für Gynäkologie und Geburtshilfe leitete Dr. Iborra von 2017 bis 2019 unter der Leitung von Prof. Dr. E. Stickeler den Bereich Geburtshilfe. Seit Dezember 2017 war sie für die Organisation der Ausbildung in der Abteilung verantwortlich und im Oktober 2019 wurde sie Geschäftsführende Oberärztin und Personaloberärztin der Klinik, eine Position, die sie bis zu ihrem Wechsel nach Solingen innehatte.

Neben ihrer wissenschaftlichen Arbeit mit zahlreichen Veröffentlichungen und Vorträgen auf großen gynäkologischen Kongressen vertiefte Dr. Iborra ihre medizinischen Fachgebiete. Sie erlangte Zertifizierungen in onkologischer Diagnostik und Therapie durch die Arbeitsgemeinschaft Gynäkologischer Onkologie sowie Zusatzqualifikationen in Zervixpathologie und Kolposkopie (AGCPC), Urogynäkologie und Beckenrekonstruktiver Chirurgie (AGUP) und beim Berufsverband der Gynäkologen (BVF).

Im Jahr 2019 schloss Dr. Iborra erfolgreich die Weiterbildung in den Bereichen „Gynäkologische Onkologie“ und „Spezielle Geburtshilfe und Perinatalmedizin“ ab. Sie ist aktives Mitglied führender deutscher medizinischer Gesellschaften ihres Fachgebiets, darunter der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Gynäkologie und Geburtshilfe, der Arbeitsgemeinschaft Zervikale Pathologie und Kolposkopie sowie der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Pränatal- und Geburtsmedizin.
