Absolvent der Autonomen Universität von Guadalajara und verfügt über Erfahrung in der Patientenaufnahme, im externen medizinischen Dienst und in Notfällen in mehreren privaten Krankenhäusern.

Professor Stefano Boriani ist ein weltbekannter orthopädischer Chirurg und Autor eines einzigartigen chirurgischen Staging-Systems für Wirbelsäulentumoren und Tumorresektionsverfahren. Er hat über 3.000 chirurgische Eingriffe durchgeführt, über 430 Forschungsartikel geschrieben und ein Kohlefasersystem zur Tumorrekonstruktion erfunden. Er ist außerdem Professor an der Postgraduiertenschule für Orthopädie der Universität Bologna und Ehrenmitglied mehrerer Wirbelsäulengesellschaften. Er ist auch Gründer eines gemeinnützigen Vereins in Mosambik, der medizinische Aktivitäten unterstützt und lokale Chirurgen ausbildet.
