My experience at this hospital was very disappointing, especially considering that my care is provided through an insurance company. The people at the emergency room admissions window were as rude as those at the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS). The operating room felt like a market with Dr. Everardo, who is from Acapulco and was a former military officer (he never tired of repeating it). Despite having a scheduled surgery, there was a delay of more than two hours, and they didn't even bring me my hands to wash them before administering the IV drip. Even more concerning, they kept me sitting in a waiting room for several hours after the operation, even though my insurance may cover a recovery bed.
This lack of consideration and the treatment I received makes me seriously question the quality of care for patients who come with insurance. The situation felt more like public care than a private service. It is essential that protocols be improved to prevent other patients from going through a similar experience.
