Professor für Medizin, Leiter der Abteilung für Endokrinologie und Stoffwechsel, Medizinische Fakultät, Medizinische Universität Wien. Mitarbeit in mehreren Organisationen, wie der Sektion Endokrinologie der Europäischen Union der Fachärzte und der Österreichischen Gesellschaft für Endokrinologie. Über 300 Veröffentlichungen in Fachzeitschriften mit Peer-Review zu den Bereichen klinische, Grundlagen- und translationale Forschung.

Dr. ist Teamleiterin der Chirurgischen Endokrinologie an der Medizinischen Universität Wien. Er ist Facharzt für Allgemein- und Viszeralchirurgie und promovierter Mediziner (2005). Er hat mehrere Konferenzen organisiert und ist Mitglied mehrerer medizinischer Gesellschaften. Derzeit ist er Leiter der Arbeitsgruppe Chirurgische Endokrinologie an der Medizinischen Universität Wien. Er erhielt 2017 den Venia Docendi Award und 2010 den Sandoz Award for Thyroid Research.

He completed his medical education at Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine between 2005-2011 and his specialization education at Kocatepe University Faculty of Medicine between 2013-2018. He successfully passed the board of the Turkish Surgical Society in 2018, and became the 3rd in Turkey in the minor medical specialization exam. He earned the title of Surgical Oncologist with the education he received at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine between 2018-2021.

Op. Dr. Necdet Derici was born in Konya Beyşehir in March 1971. He completed his primary school in Beyşehir. Then, he moved to Konya, Ereğli for his secondary and high school education. He graduated from Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1995. Between 1995 and 1999, he worked as an assistant doctor at Istanbul Training and Research Hospital. In his next career step, he joined Istanbul Training and Research Hospital as a General Surgery Specialist and worked from 2000 to 2009. He specialized in Endocrine Surgery (Goiter, Surreal, Parathyroid Surgery), Laparoscopic Surgery (Laparoscopic Obesity, Colon Surgery, Stomach Surgery, Hernia Surgery, Appendectomy, Hiatus Hernia, cholecystectomy), Gastrointestinal Surgery (Stomach Cancer and Ulcers, Colon Cancers, Bile duct Surgery) and Endoscopy.

In 2015, He worked with Dr. Bruno Dillemans on Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass in Belgium. In 2017, He worked with Dr. Phillipe Topart ve Dr Guillaume Becouarn on Obesity Surgery and Laparoscopy. He speaks advanced English and intermediate French.
