Assoc. Prof. Dr. med. Atakan Topçu ist medizinischer Onkologe an der Medipol University und dem Medipol Acıbadem Regional Hospital. Er behandelt solide Tumoren, darunter Lungen-, Brust-, kolorektale, Magen- und neuroendokrine Karzinome. Seine Arbeit umfasst zudem zielgerichtete Therapien, Immuntherapie, geriatrische Onkologie sowie tumorassoziierte Mangelernährung, Kachexie und Sarkopenie.

Er ist Autor von mehr als 50 fachbegutachteten Publikationen. Zu seinen jüngsten Arbeiten zählen eine Studie in Frontiers in Medicine (2024) zu geriatrischen Syndromen und ein Beitrag in Future Oncology (2023) zu Sarkopenie und Angst bei Lungenkrebs. Dr. Zuhal Cakmak Peksen ist seit 2017 Fachärztin für Allgemeinmedizin. Sie erwarb 2010 den Abschluss in Humanmedizin (MD) an der Çukurova-Universität. Ihre Facharztausbildung absolvierte sie 2013–2017 an der Yüzüncü-Yıl-Universität. Derzeit studiert sie Gesundheitsmanagement (Bachelor) an der Anadolu-Universität (seit 2024).

Sie verfügt über 15 Jahre klinische Praxiserfahrung (2010–2025) an acht Einrichtungen. Zuvor war er als außerordentlicher Professor und Weiterbildungskoordinator am Prof.-Dr.-Cemil-Taşcıoğlu-Stadtkrankenhaus tätig (2023–2025). Davor war er dort als Medizinischer Onkologe tätig (2018–2021).

Seit 2018 ist er Mitglied der ASCO und der Türkischen Gesellschaft für Medizinische Onkologie. Er ist Autor oder Koautor von 19 begutachteten internationalen Fachartikeln zu Kolon-, Brust-, Magen-, Pankreas-, Lungen-, Schilddrüsen-, Sarkom- und kolorektalen Krebsarten.

Zu seinen bemerkenswerten Arbeiten gehört eine multizentrische Studie zum Überleben beim Kolonkarzinom im Stadium IIB (Journal of Chemotherapy). Außerdem untersuchte er das De‑Ritis‑Verhältnis im Hinblick auf Lungenmetastasen bei Hodenkrebs (Current Urology). In seinen prognostischen Studien nutzte er PET/CT, MSI, den Lymphknotenquotienten und das metabolische Tumorvolumen.
