Dr. Yavuz Yalcin ist Facharzt für Endokrinologie und Stoffwechselerkrankungen am Memorial Şişli Hospital in Istanbul, wo er seit 2014 tätig ist. Zuvor arbeitete er am Memorial Etiler, im privaten Ordu Medical Park und am Staatlichen Krankenhaus Ordu. Von 2009 bis 2012 absolvierte er eine Weiterbildung in Endokrinologie am Ankara-Numune-Krankenhaus. Davor schloss er die Facharztausbildung in Innerer Medizin am SSK Göztepe ab und erlangte seinen medizinischen Abschluss an der Akdeniz-Universität.
Seine wissenschaftliche Arbeit umfasst 8 internationale und 10 nationale Publikationen. Er hielt 10 internationale und 20 nationale Vorträge und nahm an 39 wissenschaftlichen Tagungen teil. Er besitzt die Board-Zertifizierung in Innerer Medizin (2002), die Zertifizierung als verantwortlicher Hämodialyse-Arzt (2005; 2013 erneuert) sowie eine Zertifizierung in Arbeitsmedizin (1998). 2012–2013 absolvierte er Kurse in Schilddrüsen- und Hals-Sonographie. Er ist Mitglied der Gesellschaft für Innere Medizin, der Gesellschaft für das Metabolische Syndrom und der Türkischen Gesellschaft für Endokrinologie und Stoffwechsel.
