Dr. Tara Rak-areekul ist Neurologin mit Schwerpunkt kognitive Neurologie. Sie ist Fellow am King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital. Ihre Facharztausbildung in Neurologie absolvierte sie dort und war 2023 akademische Leiterin. Sie hat einen MD der Chulalongkorn University (Second Class Honors) sowie ein höheres Graduiertendiplom in Klinischen Wissenschaften. Sie ist in NIHSS (2022) und im Acute Stroke Treatment Course der Thai Stroke Society zertifiziert.
Zu ihren wichtigsten Erfolgen zählen Rang 1 bei der National Formative Neurological Exam (2023) und der Sieg beim Epilepsy Quiz Tournament (2023). Sie wurde Zweitplatzierte bei den Neurology Tournaments der NST Midyear 2023 und des Chula Neuroscience Forum 2022. Ihre Forschung umfasst AAIC-Posterpräsentationen (2024, 2025). Laufende Arbeiten betreffen Alzheimer-Biomarker (MDS‑OAβ und p‑tau217), die thailändische klinische Adaptation von HippoCamera sowie ein Kapitel zu Verhaltens- und psychologischen Symptomen der Demenz (BPSD).

Ongoing Research: Diagnostic Performance of Plasma Oligomeric Amyloid-β (MDS‐ OAβ) in the Alzheimer’s Disease Spectrum and Its Correlation with Plasma p-tau 217.
Presented a poster titled “The Impact of Physical Activity on Cognitive Function in Alzheimer’s Disease Diagnosed with Plasma p-tau 217 in Developing Countries: A Cross-Sectional Study” at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC), Toronto, Canada, July 2025.
Research Collaboration: Thai-language adaptation and clinical implementation of HippoCamera in a memory clinic setting in Thailand.
Presented a virtual poster titled “Prevalence of People Living with Dementia with Cyclic Temporal Pattern of Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia in a Tertiary Memory Clinic: A Descriptive Diary-Based Study” at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC), July 2024.
