Prof. Dr. Şule Karadayı ist Professorin und Fachärztin für Thoraxchirurgie. Sie erwarb 1999 ihren medizinischen Abschluss (MD) an der Universität Ankara und schloss 2004 ihre Facharztausbildung in der Thoraxchirurgie ab. 2005 absolvierte sie eine Hospitation bei Prof. Ramon Rami Porta in Barcelona. 2009 erhielt sie in Wien ein Reisestipendium der ESTS. 2015 nahm sie am Mevlana-Austauschprogramm in Aserbaidschan teil. 2006 erzielte sie 76,25 Punkte in der ÜDS-Englischprüfung. Sie ist Mitglied der European Society of Thoracic Surgeons sowie mehrerer türkischer thoraxchirurgischer Fachgesellschaften.
Ihr klinischer Schwerpunkt ist die Lungenkrebschirurgie. Sie führt Da-Vinci-robotische und VATS/minimalinvasive thoraxchirurgische Eingriffe durch. Sie behandelt pulmonale Rundherde und Raumforderungen. Zudem operiert sie am Mediastinum, an der Pleura und an der Thoraxwand (Pectus). Sie bietet interventionelle Bronchoskopie an, einschließlich endobronchialer Ventiltherapie bei fortgeschrittenem Emphysem und COPD. Sie ist stellvertretende Studienleiterin in Projekten zur Wundheilung und zur Beurteilung mediastinaler Lymphknoten. Stand 2026 betreut sie Patientinnen und Patienten im Hisar Hospital Intercontinental.

Qualifikationen
Prof. Dr. Şule Karadayı completed her medical education at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1999. She subsequently completed her residency training in the Department of Thoracic Surgery at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine and earned the title of Specialist in Thoracic Surgery in 2004.
Prof. Dr. Karadayı has extensive experience in lung cancer surgery, Da Vinci Robotic Surgery, minimally invasive (video-assisted/closed) thoracic surgery, pulmonary nodules and masses, mediastinal diseases, pleural diseases, chest wall surgery, and interventional bronchoscopic treatments. Throughout her academic and professional career, she has played an active role in both advanced surgical procedures and scientific research.
Following the completion of her specialty training, she worked at Private Güven Hospital, Atatürk Chest Diseases and Thoracic Surgery Training and Research Hospital, Cumhuriyet University Faculty of Medicine, Başkent University Adana Application and Research Hospital, and University of Health Sciences Şişli Hamidiye Etfal Training and Research Hospital.
She continued her academic career at Cumhuriyet University Faculty of Medicine, where she was appointed Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor. For many years, she was actively involved in the education and training of medical students and residents while successfully performing advanced thoracic surgical procedures.
Committed to international professional development, Prof. Dr. Karadayı completed an observership under Prof. Dr. Ramon Rami Porta at Hospital Mutua de Terrassa in Barcelona, Spain, in July 2005. In 2009, she received training in Vienna through the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons (ESTS) Travel Fellowship Programme. In 2015, she participated in academic activities at Azerbaijan Medical University as part of the Mevlana Faculty Exchange Programme.
Prof. Dr. Karadayı has focused her scientific research primarily on lung cancer and thoracic surgery. Her specialty thesis was titled:
“The Prognostic Impact of Natural Killer Cell Infiltration in Tumor Tissue in Stage I Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer.”
She has also served as an Assistant Principal Investigator in university-funded scientific research projects focusing on wound healing and the evaluation of mediastinal lymph nodes in the diagnosis of lung cancer.
In addition to her extensive experience in thoracic surgery, Prof. Dr. Karadayı performs the surgical treatment of lung and mediastinal diseases using Da Vinci Robotic Surgery, applying modern, precise, and minimally invasive approaches. She also has experience in interventional bronchoscopic treatments, particularly endobronchial valve therapy for patients with advanced emphysema and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Throughout her professional career, Prof. Dr. Karadayı has participated in numerous national and international scientific congresses. She is a member of the following professional organizations:

She provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical services in the fields of lung cancer surgery, Da Vinci Robotic Surgery, minimally invasive thoracic surgery, pulmonary nodules and masses, mediastinal diseases, pleural diseases, chest wall disorders, and endobronchial valve treatment for COPD.
