Dr. Murat Cakar ist Assistenzprofessor für Kinderchirurgie. Seine Schwerpunkte umfassen neonatale thorakale und abdominelle Erkrankungen, Ösophagusersatz bei Ösophagusatresie, Zwerchfellhernien, kinderonkologische Chirurgie (Wilms-Tumor, Neuroblastom) sowie Hodenchirurgie.
Er schloss sein Medizinstudium an der Cumhuriyet-Universität ab (1998–2005). Die Weiterbildung in Kinderchirurgie absolvierte er 2006–2011. Von 2011 bis 2013 arbeitete er als Kinderchirurg. Er war Leiter der Kinderchirurgie an der Universität Karabük und ist es am İstinye University/Liv Hospital (seit 2020) sowie an der Universität Aydın (seit 2021).
Zu seinen Funktionen zählen Gründungsmanager des Universitätsklinikums Karabük, Leiter der Laborbetriebe und Vorsitzender von Kinderschutzzentren. Zudem war er in Kommissionen für Arzneimittel und Medizinprodukte tätig. Er ist Mitglied der Türkischen Gesellschaft für Kinderchirurgie und der Vereinigung für Kinderurologie.
