Seine klinischen Studien umfassen eine Serie eines einzelnen Teams mit 81 Aneurysmen der hinteren Zirkulation, darunter 13 Flow-Diverter-Fälle. Zudem berichtete er über fünf spinale Kavernome. Er führte Phase-I-Studien zur Sicherheit und Machbarkeit von Stammzelltherapien bei pädiatrischer hypoxisch-ischämischer Enzephalopathie sowie bei chronischer kompletter Rückenmarksverletzung durch.
