Dr. X ist Direktor der Abteilung für Radioonkologie und hat einen Abschluss in Medizin und Chirurgie von der School of Medicine der Università La Sapienza, Rom, Italien. Er ist spezialisiert auf die Anwendung von High-Tech-Radioonkologiebehandlungen wie intensitätsmodulierte Strahlentherapie, stereotaktische Strahlentherapie, adaptive Strahlentherapie und Brachitherapie. Sein besonderes Augenmerk liegt auf der Optimierung von Strahlenbehandlungen bei Krebserkrankungen des oberen Gastrointestinaltrakts, der Prostata und der Lunge. Er ist außerdem Assistenzprofessor für Strahlenonkologie an der Medizinischen Fakultät, dem Radiation Oncology Resident Program und einem Universitätsabschluss für diagnostische und therapeutische Radiographie an der Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Rom, Italien, und Fakultätsmitglied des ESTRO-Lehrkurses „Evidence Based Radiation Oncology “.

The main field of interest are the application of high technologies in Radiation Oncology as Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy, Stereotactic Radiation Therapy (cranial and extracranial), Adaptative Radiation Therapy and Brachitherapy.
Furthermore he focused his activity on the optimization of radiation treatments by using different imaging techniques for the definition of target volume delineation; integration between radiotherapy and surgery; integration between radiotherapy and chemotherapy. He applied the acquired knowledge especially in Upper Gastro-intestinal, Prostate and Lung cancers.
Teaching activity: Assistant Professor in Radiation Oncology for Medical School, Radiation Oncology Resident Program and Diagnostic and Therapy Radiography University Degree at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Rome, Italy (2005- present).
