Professor Dr. Engin Cakar ist Facharzt für Physikalische Medizin und Rehabilitation, Algologie (Schmerzmedizin) sowie Elektrodiagnostische Neurologie. Er praktiziert an den Memorial Göztepe- und Memorial Şişli-Krankenhäusern. Zuvor war er am Medipol Mega Universitätskrankenhaus und am GATA Haydarpaşa Ausbildungskrankenhaus tätig.
Titel und Ausbildung: Professor (2016). Außerordentlicher Professor (2011). Spezialisierung in Algologie, Gesundheitsministerium – Board für medizinische Spezialisierung/GATA (2011). Elektrodiagnostische Neurologie, Marmara-Universität (2007–2010).
Publikationen: 40 internationale und 17 nationale begutachtete Artikel. Präsentationen: 17 international, 12 national. Außerdem zahlreiche Buchkapitel. Mitgliedschaften: Europäische Gesellschaft für PRM; Türkische Gesellschaft für Physikalische Medizin und Rehabilitation; Türkische Algologie-Gesellschaft; Türkische Gesellschaft für Klinische Neurophysiologie (EEG–EMG). Er leitet die Arbeitsgruppe für Hirnstimulation und Neurorestauration.
Weiterbildungen: Harvard Medical School – transkranielle Magnetstimulation und Gleichstromstimulation. Er hielt zahlreiche eingeladene Vorträge und nahm an vielen Kongressen teil.
