Prof. Dr. Metin Aytekin ist klinischer Biochemiker und Spezialist für Molekularmedizin mit Adjunct-Position in der Abteilung für Pathobiologie der Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland/USA. Er ist Associate Prof. an der Erciyes University, Kayseri/Türkei und Vizepräsident des Genome and Stem Cell Center (GENKÖK). Er wurde mehrfach für seine Forschungen und Veröffentlichungen ausgezeichnet und hat viele Peer-Review-Artikel zu Lungenerkrankungen, pulmonaler Hypertonie, koronarer Atherosklerose und Kardiotoxizität im Zusammenhang mit Anthrazyklinen veröffentlicht.
