Assoc. Prof. Dr. Saydam Mehmet ist Allgemeinchirurg am Lokman Hekim Istanbul Hospital (seit 2025). Sein Tätigkeitsspektrum umfasst onkologische, endokrine und metabolische Chirurgie. Er führt laparoskopische Eingriffe durch, darunter Hernienoperationen und Anti-Reflux-Operationen. Zudem behandelt er morbide Adipositas und Typ‑2‑Diabetes. Die Sleeve-Gastrektomie zählt zu seinen wichtigsten Eingriffen.

Ausbildung: Er schloss sein Medizinstudium an der Gülhane Military Medical Academy, Fakultät für Medizin, ab (1995–2001). Dort absolvierte er die Facharztausbildung in Allgemeinchirurgie (2004–2009). 2015–2016 war er Research Fellow am Ryder Trauma Center, University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Erfahrung: Er arbeitete als Facharzt für Allgemeinchirurgie am GATA Haydarpaşa, am Girne Military und am Mevki Military. Später war er Associate Professor für Allgemeinchirurgie in Dışkapı, Sancaktepe und am Medical Park Gebze. Zuvor war er als Allgemeinmediziner im militärischen Sanitätsdienst tätig.
