Er trat 1987 in die medizinische Fakultät Cerrahpaşa der Universität Istanbul ein und begann 1993 seinen Pflichtdienst im Bezirk Akçaabat in Trabzon. Im Januar 1995 wurde er in die Abteilung für Leber- und Gallenchirurgie des Erasmus-Krankenhauses der Freien Universität Brüssel in Brüssel, Belgien, aufgenommen. Im Oktober 1996 begann er seine Facharztausbildung in Allgemeinchirurgie und wurde 2002 mit seiner Dissertation „Le Re-do Gastroplastie dans le traitement des complexity des Procedure Bariatriques pour Obesité Morbide“ (Revisionschirurgie zur Behandlung von Komplikationen bariatrischer Eingriffe bei krankhafter Fettleibigkeit) Facharzt für Allgemeinchirurgie in Belgien.

Er arbeitete bis Oktober 2003 in der Abteilung für hepatobiliäre Chirurgie des ULB Erasmus-Krankenhauses und wechselte dann im Oktober 2003 als stellvertretender Chefarzt der Chirurgieklinik zum Providence Hospital in Neuchatel, Schweiz. Im März 2004 wurde er zum Chefarzt der Chirurgieklinik am Neuchatel Hospital Cadolles Pourtales NHP ernannt und spielte eine wichtige Rolle in den Bereichen fortgeschrittene laparoskopische Chirurgie, bariatrische Chirurgie, onkologische Chirurgie, Traumatologie, Gefäß- und Thoraxchirurgie sowie in der Ausbildung von Assistenzärzten.

Er begann seine Karriere im privaten Sektor mit dem Erwerb eines gleichwertigen Abschlusses im Bereich Allgemeinchirurgie an der Çukurova-Universität. Derzeit arbeitet er als Facharzt für Allgemeinchirurgie am NPISTANBUL-Krankenhaus.
