Dr. Francisco Castro Dominguez hat einen Abschluss in Medizin und Chirurgie von der Universität Santiago de Compostela.

Im Rahmen seines Studiums absolvierte er ein Praktikum an der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin und besuchte dabei die Charité. Jahre später wurde er nach einer Facharztausbildung am Hospital del Mar i l'Esperanza in Barcelona Facharzt für Rheumatologie und absolvierte eine Weiterbildung in Kniearthrose und Sportmedizin am Royal North Shore Hospital der Universität Sydney, Australien.

Er schloss sein Studium mit einem Master in Medical Management an der Universität Barcelona ab und arbeitete als Postdoktorand in der Forschungseinheit für Entzündungen und Knorpel am Institut Hospital del Mar d'Investigacions Mèdiques.

Wissenschaftliche Arbeit:

Derzeit ist der Arzt Koordinator der Arbeitsgruppe Osteoarthritis der Spanischen Gesellschaft für Rheumatologie (ARTROSER) und arbeitet als Forscher an mehreren multidisziplinären Projekten zur Untersuchung der Phänotypisierung von Knie-Osteoarthritis mit. Darüber hinaus fungiert er als Berater bei institutionellen Projekten zur Erstellung von Behandlungsprotokollen und zur Betreuung von Patienten mit Knie- und Hüft-Osteoarthritis.
