Selçuk Basa graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry in 1982. In 1986, he completed his specialty training in the field of Oral, Dental and Maxillofacial Surgery at Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry. After working at Pasteur Hospital between 1986-1990, he worked as Associate Professor and Deputy Director at Selçuk University between 1991-1994. Working at Marmara University between 1994-2016, Prof. Dr. Selçuk Basa served as Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry between 2004-2008. In 1989, Medical University of South Carolina in the USA, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in London Guys Hospital in 1990 and Facial Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgery in Marien Hospital in Stuttgart, Germany in 1999, Paris Armand- He studied facial surgery at Trousseau Hospital. Prof. Dr. Selçuk Basa worked in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Germany Bonn University in 2001 and at the USA North Carolina University in 2005.He has been working as the dean of Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Dentistry since 2021.

Dr. Yüceer-Çetiner was born in 1989 in Ankara, Turkey. She graduated from Başkent University Faculty of Dentistry in 2013. She then completed oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Ondokuz Mayıs University, Faculty of Dentistry, between the years 2014-2018. She has been working as assistant professor in Bahçeşehir University, Istanbul, Turkey since 2019. Her interests are in maxillofacial regeneration and reconstructive surgery, orthognathic surgery, temporomandibular joint diseases, jaw pathology and dental implantology.
