Außerordentliche Professorin Dr. Sevgi Kurt begann ihre medizinische Ausbildung als plastische, rekonstruktive und ästhetische Chirurgin im Jahr 2000 an der Medizinischen Fakultät der Universität Istanbul. Nach ihrem Abschluss im Jahr 2006 erlangte sie einen Abschluss in der Facharztprüfung und begann ihre Ausbildung in der Abteilung für plastische, rekonstruktive und ästhetische Chirurgie der Medizinischen Fakultät der Universität Istanbul. Im Jahr 2012 erhielt sie den Titel einer Fachärztin für plastische, rekonstruktive und ästhetische Chirurgie.

Während ihrer Ausbildung absolvierte sie 2012 ein Stipendium für Mikrochirurgie bei Fu Chan Wei und Hung Chi Chen in Taiwan und 2014 ein Stipendium für Brustrekonstruktion bei Moustapha Hamdi in Belgien.
