Dr. Idris Sertbas ist ein erfahrener Neurochirurg mit Spezialisierung auf Operationen am Gehirn und an der Wirbelsäule bei Erwachsenen und Kindern. Er führt komplexe Eingriffe wie Tumoroperationen am Gehirn und Kleinhirn durch und behandelt Kinder mit Hydrozephalus, Tethered Cord und Kraniosynostose. Zudem ist er versiert in fortgeschrittenen Wirbelsäulenoperationen wie Stabilisierung bei Bandscheibenvorfällen, Vertebroplastie und Kyphosechirurgie.

Er ist ausgebildet in Neuromodulation, darunter Tiefe Hirnstimulation bei Parkinson, Epilepsiestimulation und Rückenmarkstimulation bei chronischen Schmerzen. Außerdem behandelt er Trigeminusneuralgie, Hemispasmus facialis und implantiert Baclofenpumpen bei schwerer Spastik.

Dr. Sertbas hat an der Sivas Cumhuriyet Universität studiert und seine Facharztausbildung in Neurochirurgie am Ankara Ausbildungs- und Forschungskrankenhaus absolviert. Er arbeitete am Bartın Staatskrankenhaus und an der Istanbul Yeni Yüzyıl Universität. Derzeit ist er an der Neurochirurgischen Klinik des Liv Vadistanbul Krankenhauses tätig.

Dr. Hilmi Apak ist ein angesehener Spezialist für pädiatrische Hämatologie und Onkologie mit über 21 Jahren Erfahrung. Er ist auf pädiatrische Onkologie spezialisiert. Dr. Apak hat fortschrittliche Behandlungen wie Stammzelltransplantationen, Leukämie-Chemotherapie und CAR-T-Zelltherapie geleitet.

Er hat 75 internationale medizinische Fachartikel veröffentlicht und leistet damit einen bedeutenden Beitrag zur Forschung in der pädiatrischen Onkologie. Dr. Apak war als stellvertretender Herausgeber der Zeitschrift Turkish Pediatrics Archives tätig. Zudem hatte er wichtige akademische und leitende Positionen inne, darunter als Leiter der Abteilung für pädiatrische Hämatologie-Onkologie an der Istanbul Universität-Cerrahpaşa.

Meine 34 Jahre als Arzt – das ist mehr als die Hälfte meines Lebens … Nach Tausenden von Operationen überwiegen immer noch die Aufregung und das Verantwortungsgefühl des ersten Tages. Mein Vater war Arzt, auch Neurologe. Wenn man mich in der Grundschule und in der weiterführenden Schule fragte, was ich werden würde, antwortete ich immer gleich: Neurochirurg. Als ich 1992 meine Facharztausbildung in Neurochirurgie am Haydarpaşa Numune Krankenhaus begann, erfüllte sich mein Kindheitstraum. Während meiner gesamten medizinischen Karriere haben sich zwei Punkte immer von den anderen abgehoben: 1. Niemandem Schaden zufügen. 2. Die wichtigste Beziehung zwischen Arzt und Patient ist das Vertrauensverhältnis. Gemäß dem Grundsatz „Zuerst einmal nicht schaden“ auf Türkisch und „primum non nocere“ auf Latein habe ich es immer vorgezogen, sichere Operationen unter dem Mikroskop mit kleineren Einschnitten durchzuführen. Ich habe keine Operationen durchgeführt, von denen ich nicht sicher war, ob der Patient davon profitieren würde. So war ich immer in der Lage, mich selbst zuerst von der Notwendigkeit einer Operation zu überzeugen. Dann überzeuge ich meinen Patienten. Ich habe immer daran gedacht, dass die wichtigste Beziehung zwischen Chirurg und Patient die Vertrauensbeziehung ist. Wie kann ein Mensch sein Leben jemandem anvertrauen, den er vor 15 Minuten gesehen hat, ohne dass eine Vertrauensbeziehung besteht? Mir war wichtig, dass diese Beziehung nach der Operation und sogar ein Leben lang anhält. Ich habe die ersten Spaziergänge meiner Patienten seit 28 Jahren gemacht, die ich operiert habe. Manchmal sogar viele Male nach Mitternacht … Mir war immer wichtig, dass manche Patienten das Gefühl haben, ihren Arzt auch um 03:00 Uhr nachts sehen zu müssen. Ich habe kein Problem damit, allen meinen Patienten meine Handynummer zu geben. Ich möchte, dass mein Arzt bei Bedarf jederzeit erreichbar ist. Das ist es, was ich für meine Patienten tue. 2019–2021 arbeitete ich als interventioneller Neurologe an der Arabian Gulf University und dem King Hamad University Hospital in Bahrain.

Dr. Cagri Canbolat ist Neurochirurg. Er ist spezialisiert auf neuroonkologische Chirurgie, Schädelbasischirurgie, neurovaskuläre Chirurgie, minimalinvasive Wirbelsäulenchirurgie, onkologische Wirbelsäulenchirurgie, pädiatrische Neurochirurgie, Neurotraumatologie und neurointensive Medizin. Seine medizinische Ausbildung und Facharztausbildung absolvierte er von 2005 bis 2018 an der Medizinischen Fakultät der Cumhuriyet-Universität.

Dr. Canbolat hat zur Forschung über die therapeutischen Effekte von Etanercept und Ustekinumab bei Rückenmarksverletzungen beigetragen. Zudem untersuchte er die Genetik von Neuralrohrdefekten. Seine Publikationen behandeln unter anderem das primäre ZNS-Lymphom und Operationsergebnisse bei älteren Patienten mit intrakraniellen Meningeomen. In diesen Studien analysierte er 228 Fälle.

Dr. Binnur Simsek ist Fachärztin für Gastroenterologie. Dr. Itir Sirinoglu Temiz ist Professorin für Hämatologie. Sie ist spezialisiert auf Lymphome, akute und chronische Leukämien, multiples Myelom, Thrombozytopenien, Thrombosen, Anämien und Knochenmarkversagen. Sie schloss ihr Medizinstudium mit Auszeichnung an der Istanbul Universität Cerrahpaşa ab und absolvierte ihre Facharztausbildung für Hämatologie am Dr. Abdurrahman Yurtarslan Onkologie-Ausbildungs- und Forschungszentrum.

Dr. Sirinoglu Temiz hatte wichtige akademische und administrative Positionen inne. Sie war Leiterin der Inneren Medizin an der IAU Medizinischen Fakultät und Bildungs- sowie Verwaltungsleiterin an der SBÜ Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk EAH Hämatologieklinik. Sie verfügt über umfassende Erfahrung in der Erwachsenenhämatologie, Stammzelltransplantation und therapeutischen Apherese. Derzeit arbeitet sie an der Liv Hospital.

Dr. Gokhan Kursat Kara ist Orthopäde mit Spezialisierung auf Wirbelsäulenchirurgie, Endoprothetik sowie Trauma- und Deformitätskorrektur. Er absolvierte sein Medizinstudium an der Universität Istanbul und seine Facharztausbildung für Orthopädie und Traumatologie an der Universität Uludag.
