Dr. Digdem Begendi ist eine erfahrene Augenärztin. Sie ist spezialisiert auf Kataraktoperationen mit IOL-Implantation, LASIK und Schielbehandlung. Sie beherrscht fortgeschrittene Verfahren wie IntraLase-Laserchirurgie, Laseriridotomie und Femtosekundenlaser-Techniken.

Dr. Zeynep Alkin ist Professorin für Augenheilkunde mit Spezialisierung auf medizinische Netzhaut und vitreoretinale Chirurgie. Sie erwarb ihren Abschluss an der Universität Istanbul und absolvierte ihre Facharztausbildung am Beyoglu Augenforschungs- und Ausbildungszentrum. Dr. Alkin war anschließend Assistenzprofessorin und klinische Stipendiatin in Netzhautabteilungen sowie Forschungsstipendiatin am Doheny Eye Institute der USC. Sie ist Mitglied der Türkischen Ophthalmologischen Gesellschaft und deren Fachgremien für medizinische und chirurgische Netzhaut.

Dr. Alkin hat über 40 Vorträge auf nationalen und internationalen Tagungen gehalten und mehr als 40 begutachtete Publikationen verfasst. Ihre Schwerpunkte sind Netzhauterkrankungen, diabetisches Makulaödem und altersbedingte Makuladegeneration. Ihre Forschung umfasst multizentrische Studien und Analysen von Real-World-Daten. Dr. Tuğrul Akın ist ein erfahrener Augenarzt. Er hat sein Medizinstudium an der Universität Ankara abgeschlossen und seine Facharztausbildung an der Gülhane Militärmedizinischen Akademie absolviert. Er ist Mitglied der Türkischen Ophthalmologischen Gesellschaft und der Türkischen Ärztekammer. Außerdem befasst er sich mit Glaukomchirurgie nach Keratoplastik, Erkrankungen der Augenoberfläche und Pseudoexfoliation sowie Neuro‑Ophthalmologie und Netzhaut. Er wirkte an 4 Übersetzungen augenheilkundlicher Fachbücher mit. Seine Studien vergleichen die Ergebnisse von DALK und PKP bei Keratokonus, analysieren die Biomechanik nach DALK, beurteilen die Transplantatdicke nach DSAEK und vergleichen Trabekulektomie mit dem Ahmed‑Ventil bei post‑PKP‑Glaukom.
