Dr. Gulsen Kose ist eine angesehene Kinderneurologin mit über 40 Jahren Erfahrung. Sie arbeitete an führenden türkischen Einrichtungen wie der Hacettepe Universität und dem Liv Hospital. 1993 gründete sie die Abteilung für Kinderneurologie am Ankara Kinderkrankenhaus für Gesundheit und Hämatologie-Onkologie – ein wichtiger Fortschritt für die Kinderheilkunde in der Türkei.

Dr. Kose ist spezialisiert auf neurodegenerative, neurometabolische und seltene erworbene neurologische Erkrankungen. Sie verfügt über besondere Expertise in Autoimmunenzephalitis und SSPE. Ihre Arbeit hat das Leben von Tausenden Kindern verbessert, insbesondere von Epilepsie- und Zerebralparese-Patienten. Sie ist Gründungsmitglied der Türkischen Gesellschaft für Entwicklungs-Kinderneurologie und gehört fünf internationalen Fachgesellschaften an.

Dr. Kose war Klinikleiterin, außerordentliche Professorin und Stationsleiterin. Ihr Engagement hat Versorgungsstandards geprägt und die Ausbildung von Fachärzten verbessert. Sie gilt als führende Persönlichkeit der Kinderneurologie.
