Prof. Dr. Teraporn Vutyavanich ist auf Geburtshilfe und Gynäkologie, assistierte Reproduktionsmedizin und Endokrinologie spezialisiert. Er gilt als Vater der assistierten Reproduktionsmedizin in Thailand und als erster Spezialist des Landes auf diesem Gebiet. Er ist Autor von über 100 Publikationen. Er war 2005–2010 und ist seit 2015 Vorsitzender der Thai Society for Reproductive Medicine.
Er ist Professor an der Chiang Mai University. Zudem leitet er das Reproduktionszentrum der Chiang Mai University und ist Ärztlicher Direktor der Chiang Mai IVF Polyclinic. Er erwarb den Abschluss MD (Honours) an der Mahidol University. Er ist durch das Thai Board of Obstetrics & Gynaecology sowie das Thai Subspecialty Board of Reproductive Medicine zertifiziert. Einen M.Sc. in Medical Sciences erhielt er von der University of Nottingham, einen M.Sc. in Forschungsdesign von der McMaster University. Er absolvierte Fellowships in Reproduktionsendokrinologie am New York Hospital–Cornell und an der Mayo Clinic im Rahmen des Ananda-Mahidol-Stipendiums. Er ist ESHRE-zertifizierter Senior-Embryologe.
